Support and back-up Through our vast, state-wide network of sub-centres - stretching from Kununurra in the north to Esperance in the south-east, St John Ambulance provides the best qualified staff with unrivalled support and back-up.
St John Ambulance has a state of the art Ambulance Operations Centre situated within ambulance headquarters in Belmont. All ambulance resources are controlled from this operations centre, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. St John Ambulance staff anywhere in the state can contact the Operations Centre at any time should they require emergency assistance or clinical advice.
Our Operations Centre is supervised by a senior ambulance paramedic who will assist with any clinical assistance required by Industrial Paramedics or Industrial Medics. We also have the ability to conference a call with any Hospital Emergency Department. Additionally, St John Ambulance maintain a contract with an emergency medicine advisory service (Medical Emergency Solutions), who may be contacted 24 hours a day by any Industrial Paramedic who may require further clinical advice.
Our Operations Centre also has the ability to utilise ambulance resources within the metropolitan and country ambulance services in the case of major incidents anywhere in the state. St John Ambulance have direct communications with the Royal Flying Doctor Service Communications Centre and regularly work with them on country retrievals.
All our staff come with medical protocol coverage from St John Ambulance and are covered by our Poisons Licence, so your company need have no worries about these complex requirements.
