Even with one of the best ambulance services in the world, it can take up to 10 minutes for an ambulance to arrive at the scene of an accident. Dr Wilkes says, everyone has the capacity to learn basic first aid, in just 10 minutes you can learn the same skills to unblock an airway that I use an emergency medicine specialist.
