The Real Stories The Medical Perspective
Disclaimer: St John Ambulance Australia has introduced some minor changes to resuscitation guidelines as recommended from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). The changes were designed to make it easier to remember how to perform resuscitation in an emergency. Resuscitation guidelines changes are effective from January 1, 2011. The first change emphasises the importance of calling an ambulance as soon as you are aware that you have a person who is not responding. The second emphasises the importance of starting resuscitation by performing chest compressions.
